Useful information to gauge if The Isofarian Guard is for you or not.

It's a great couples experience, but know that it is focused on intricate combat mostly, it is not a fantasy RPG.

The battles themselves revolve around swapping in and out abilities and chips with colors in bags, subtly changing underlying probabilities.

It is not an overland adventure game. The map is just a backdrop for the battles. There are no NPCs to speak of, there are just a few branching narratives, it is not a CYOA game where stuff you did has consequences later (there are a few such cases in book 4). It is not a riddle book (although there are riddles in books 2 and 4).

I've spent a great few months playing with it, and have read all the books. They are great and well-written. As a product it's a masterpiece. There are no subliminal christian undertones, it's a solid RPG plot.

The files help you better in tracking things and the map saves you half a table, so everything here is meant as a Quality of Life improvement.

Enjoy!
